As mentioned before, Paul Davis of NCI** took clothes to clean alongside work equipment.
The work equipment, which was supposed to be returned within 7 days but was not returned until six weeks later, included a soft-shell case.
During this six weeks, they charged for renting storage space - including the clothes they took for cleaning.
Upon receipt of the soft-shell case, it was evident Paul Davis of NCI** could not clean the smoke out of the fabrics. Despite their claims to have cleaned it, the case reeked of smoke. It could not remain in our house and had to be replaced.
Paul Davis had started to send us item lists and planned on returning clothes. This means Paul Davis of NCI** held onto the clothes, charged for storage space, “cleaned” them, planned on charging for the cleaning, and were going to return them to us reeking of smoke - just had they had done with the soft-shell case.
Fortunately, we contacted the insurance adjuster after receiving the reeking soft-shell case. He instructed Paul Davis of NCI** to dispose of the clothes and remove them from the invoice before they completed the transaction.
